If the sun doesn't shine one day, then there are caves, and gorges in the region waiting to be explored. Or maybe a relaxing visit to the new TauernSpa-World in Kaprun/Zell am See, where they place an emphasis on being family friendly.
In the winter your fun begins practically on the doorstep. It's hardly 5 minutes' walk to the Dorfj@t Natrun and the ski bus to Aberg stops right at the village square.
